Fix: Rendering In Dreamweaver And Contribute
Monday, July 28th, 2008Dreamweaver and Contribute suck when it comes to WYSIWYG editing of standards-compliant sites. One of my clients, however, used Dreamweaver and Contribute to edit their new site’s content. I was left with a problem - they needed these programs for their WYSIWYG editor, but the programs would break the site’s design upon loading.
I spent three hours looking for a solution of my own and have found one. It’s called Design-Time style sheets, a well-hidden feature that Dreamweaver and Contribute use as a way of overriding any page’s CSS styles. Here’s how:
