Note: 3D acceleration is depended on a recent version of X. Ubuntu 13.10, Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon, Fedora 19, and other modern desktop distributions have this. Debian 7, CentOS 6, Ubuntu 12.04 (without the LTS Enablement Stack, or 12.04.x update), and similar distributions do not. If your preferred choice does not you may have to wait for a new release for full hardware support. Distributions including: Trisquel 7, Ubuntu 14.04+, openSUSE 13.2+, Linux Mint 17+, Peppermint Linux 5+, Lubuntu 14.04+, Kubuntu 14.04+, Fedora 20, and other recent distributions work 'out of the box'.
