A hex editor, also called a binary file editor or byte editor, is a type of program that allows a user to view and edit the raw and exact contents of files, that is, at the byte level, in contrast to the higher level interpretations of the same contents that are provided by other, higher level application programs. The GHex program can view and edit files in two ways, hex or ascii.

3D surface plot Genius is a general purpose calculator program. It is useful both as a simple calculator and as a research or educational tool. The syntax is very intuitive and is designed to mimic how mathematics is usually written. GEL is the name of its extension language, it stands for Genius Extension Language. Interestingly, many of the standard genius functions are written in GEL itself.

gDesklets is a program which provides users the ability to install small applets or desktop widgets on the desktop. It is comparable to other desktop widget programs. The applets placed on the desktop are meant to be quick ways for the user to retrieve information and not get in the way of normal activity.

GCstar is an application for managing collections of things. Detailed information on each item can be automatically retrieved from the internet and you can store additional data, such as the location or who you've lent it to. You may also search and filter your collection by many criteria.

Xpad is a note taking application that can place notes anywhere on your desktop. They are designed to look like sticky notes but can be customized to look however you'd like. They are very helpful as reminders and for jotting down notes without having to open a word processor.

A useful terminal that can slide in and out of the top of the screen with the press of a button. It is much faster thatn a hotkey becuase its already loaded into memory.

Xpdf is a suite of utilities for viewing, converting, and analyzing Portable Documant Format (PDF) files. These files are often called acrobat files after the name of another PDF application. Xpdf can convert PDF files to PostScript, text, and Image. It can analyze the fonts used in the document and also give you information about the document.
